There are several
reasons why deck sealers and stains do not hold up. The most common is
that the deck was not prepped right. Anytime a finish is applied all of
the previous coating must be removed. If it was not all removed the new
coating will not penetrate all the way into the wood. Another reason is
that an inferior product was used.
Restoration of wood involves either cleaning or stripping the surface.
If the wood on your deck is uncoated, it needs to be cleaned thoroughly
with a product specifically formulated to gently remove the aged top
surface layer, which will rid the surface of its grayed appearance,

wood would be replaced. Sanding may also be necessary to get your deck

deck. Once the stain has been applied we can seal the deck
which would protect it from the elements and greatly extend the life of
